Yes thats right I’m back in Bristol, Indicia have invited me back in! They are doing very well and are very busy. It’s great being agency side and thats the beauty of freelance, your week can be a mix mash of both client and agency.

Cheltenham Jazz Festival 2012

Its been a tough few weeks but the Cheltenham Jazz Festival brochure is finally done, with banners, posters and adverts coming in the next few weeks. I have had an agency in Bristol helping out as it was a hugh task for one person in such short time scales to deal with.

A change of scene with a new client. Design AV Europe provide audio, video, lighting systems for the built environment – controlled by an iPad and a very clever app.

I’m in charge of all their online and offline marketing and social media, so watch this space. We will be doing a grand display in London very soon.

The Loop in Bristol invited me in to help with a christmas ecard for their client, Innovate. I drew and designed the characters in illustrator, created a story board and gave some art direction on the final outcome. The animation was done by the voice over for “Timmy Time”. The ecard is live here

Happy New Year Everyone! The new year is off to a great start working where I left off, with Cheltenham Festivals. They have got me back in nice and early to begin designing their Jazz Brochure.

The challenge was to keep the look of the existing brand, but push it forward and develop it. I added in more colours so that the sections became easier to distinguish, and thus making membership callouts stand out whenever highlighted. The brochure style magazine has gone down well. Cheltenham Festivals were working to a tight deadline to mail out around 8000 “directors picks” for their membership programme. I look forward to seeing it printed in the new year. National Star College

National Star College is a great charity based in Cheltenham “To enable people with disabilities to realise their potential through personalised learning, transition & lifestyle services.” It has been a pleasure to help design a flyer for their themed charity ball in 2012. Lets hope they raise lots of money.

With the near completion of their first project. I have been invited to continue working with cheltenham festivals on their 4 main festivals, which will run throughout the year for 2012: Jazz, Music, Science and Literature. All require alot of collateral and marketing. Watch this space, I will be after a junior designer to help me out very soon.

I can now finally reveal publicly my new client. This could be a great relationship in the making, with regular work and a great brand to develop. Its just what I needed to get my teeth into. Cheltenham Festivals have 4 main festivals a year, and with just me at the moment = extremely busy.
